SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Learning through kindness

Hands of Gratitude school programs are tailored to the curriculum, goals, and unique needs of each participating school, classroom, or student group. From service-learning initiatives to camp activities and club programs, we partner with educators to create meaningful experiences that engage students and bring empathy to life.

During each program, students learn about the challenges faced by individuals living with limb differences around the world. Working together in teams, they assemble prosthetic hands for specific recipients whose names, stories, and photos are shared with them beforehand. Students also create personalized cards and drawings to include with the prosthetics, which are later delivered during international donation trips organized through the Hands of Gratitude Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

For more than 15 years, Hands of Gratitude programs have been hosted by schools across the country, inspiring thousands of students to continue their involvement in service and global outreach.

To get started, fill out the Request for Proposal below, and we’ll connect with you to design a program customized for your students and goals.
